On Duty
Mr. Diosdado Navasco Jr., 32, answers the questions asked by correspondent Martin Cardano, a Senior High School (SHS) teacher, during an interview last April 11. Navasco has been working as a security guard in SHS Department for the past five years. The interview is a part of the Website Writing Workshop sponsored by the Information Technology Department (ITD) of the Philippine Christian University (PCU). “Being a guard has its upside and downside,” Navasco told Cardano. “It can provide for the family, but you have to be on duty for at least 12 hours—no Christmas, no New Year, no holidays.”
